Filtration is the half of water treatment that softening cannot do: chlorine taste on city water, sulfur and iron on wells, sediment from older mains, and polished drinking water at the kitchen sink.

  • Whole-house carbon systems for chlorine, taste and odor
  • Aeration and catalytic systems for sulfur and iron
  • Sediment pre-filtration for wells and older mains
  • Under-sink reverse osmosis for drinking and ice
  • UV disinfection where a well test calls for it
  • Filter change schedules handled for you

The rotten egg fix, done in the right order

Sulfur on a well has to be oxidized and filtered at the point of entry, before the softener, or the smell wins and the softener media pays the price. Aeration or catalytic carbon handles it, sized to the measured level. If the smell is only on the hot side, the fix is in the water heater, not a whole-house system, and we will tell you that instead of quoting a tank you do not need.

Under-sink and utility water connections

Reverse osmosis: the cheapest real upgrade

An under-sink RO unit gives you bottled-quality water at the tap and the refrigerator line for a fraction of what a year of bottles costs. It is the single most requested add-on with any system we install, takes an hour, and turns the ice from cloudy to clear as a side effect.

Water filtration questions we hear most

Different jobs. Whole-house handles what touches your skin, laundry and pipes; RO polishes what you drink. Many homes are best served by a modest whole-house system plus RO at the kitchen sink.

Sediment cartridges every 3 to 6 months, carbon per capacity, RO membranes every 2 to 4 years. We tag every system with its dates and offer a reminder schedule so it never becomes homework.

Orange is iron, and yes, the right iron filter ends the staining at the source. Existing stains clean off with the iron gone.
